Springfield Prodigy 5" Compensator (Multi Slot)

The Underworld Arms Compensator for the Springfield Prodigy 5" is a frame mounted compensator with a large single port that is similar in size to the Staccato XC and Sand Hawk.

Compatible holsters are available HERE

Our compensator drops on with no gunsmithing and does not require spring tuning. With a traditional threaded compensator exhaust gas force the end of the barrel down which fights against the tilting unlock action and this requires the spring weight to be lowered so the pistol can cycle. Our frame mounted compensator allows the barrel to tilt freely and function normally with no spring tuning. However, unlike a traditional compensator, our frame mounted compensator needs to be removed so the slide can be stripped for cleaning.

This compensator increases the dimensions of the firearm so it requires a dedicated holster such as the ones we make or a universal holster such as the MSP Tier 1, and the blackhawk omnivore light bearing.

We include a small bottle of blue 243 loctite in the package,  blue 243 is the strongest removable loctite and you only need to use a small amount. If you use too much and a screw is stuck heat the screw with a jet lighter, this will break down the loktite and the screw will come right out. The same method also works if you decided to use red loktite.  A heat gun or soldering iron will not work for a stuck screw as the temp is too low.

I have not had a chance to shoot my Springfield Prodigy after installing the compensator. Very satisfied with the concept because when I soon found out that Springfield came out with a newer version recently with a compensator, I was bummed out that I would trade my Prodigy 1.0. However on YouTube, someone commented about this company and bought the attachment. So instead of trading in, losing some value; I kept my Prodigy 1.0. I'm sure it well shoot much flatter now, I can definitely tell the pistol is more heavy (front heavy) well keep the muzzle rise down. Thank you, highly recommend for those who have the Prodigy 1.0.

Prodigy Comp- Get one!

I bought this as an easy way to comp my 5inch Prodigy and for the price I thought I would have much to lose.

I received my comp a few days later and easily installed it. I went out back to my shooting berm and put 150 rounds through it. The comp makes a HUGE difference in muzzle flip and perceived recoil. The dot does not move, tracking the dot in recoil is a breeze.

I have since shot a little over 1000 rounds and I am more and more impressed with it's performance. My wife and 14 year old son both noticed a huge advantage with it too.

If you're on the fence, don't be, this comp rocks.
