The Underworld Arms Basilisk Compensator for the Springfield Prodigy 4.25" is a frame mounted compensator with two large expansion chambers that redirect the gas flow into two large top ports and four angled side ports which dramatically reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil.

The Basilisk is available anodized black or cerakote coyote brown. This compensator has a multi slot lower rail, for a single slot lower rail please see our other listing.

On some builds recoil spring tuning may be required. The stock recoil spring is 12lbs, with this compensator a spring in the 9-10lbs range may be necessary for reliable function unless high power loads are being used.

This compensator increases the dimensions of the firearm so it requires a dedicated holster such as the ones we make, or Tac-Rig (these have the most features and highest quality construction), or a universal holster such as the MSP Tier 1, and the blackhawk omnivore light bearing.

Basilisk Compensator for the Prodigy 4.25"

The Basilisk Compensator absolutely reduces muzzle flip significantly. It's the real deal folks. Installed a 9lb recoil spring & I honestly prefer to shoot with this instead of the Athena. Trying an 8lb spring next. Excellent support from the company as well, very quick to respond. Thank you for developing this gem.

The Prodigy 4.25" Basilisk Compensator really makes the gun shoot flat, you can make the next and succeeding shot quicker. I enjoyed shooting the gun.

Absolute beast compensator

Initially was irritated I didn't get the five inch Prodigy, but now I'm glad I got the 4.25 inch. This compensator fixed my length issue in my head and negated most of the recoil. Tried my hand against 6 inch plates at 15 yards with this compensator, the red dot didn't leave the plate. Follow up shots were extremely fast and pleasant. I like my prodigy before, now it's a whole new gun. Great compensator!
