The Underworld Arms Basilisk Compensator for the Springfield Prodigy 4.25" is a frame mounted compensator with two large expansion chambers that redirect the gas flow into two large top ports and four angled side ports which dramatically reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil.
This 50 state legal compensator is made for unthreaded barrels. The Basilisk is available anodized black or cerakote coyote brown. This compensator has a multi slot lower rail, for a single slot lower rail please see our other listing.
On some builds recoil spring tuning may be required. The stock recoil spring is 12lbs, with this compensator a spring in the 9-10lbs range may be necessary for reliable function unless high power loads are being used.
Compatible holsters are available HERE
This compensator increases the dimensions of the firearm so it requires a dedicated holster such as the ones we make, or Tac-Rig (these have the most features and highest quality construction), or a universal holster such as the MSP Tier 1, and the blackhawk omnivore light bearing.

If you’re thinking about grabbing the Underworld Arms Basilisk Comp, just do it — this thing absolutely rips. Install was super easy, everything threaded on smooth and locked up tight. Once it's on, the difference is night and day. Recoil gets tamed big time, and the muzzle stays flat even when you’re ripping through mags.
The best part? It seriously transforms your Prodigy. With the Basilisk on there, it looks and shoots like a mini TTI Pit Viper. You get that same aggressive, competition-ready vibe without dropping Pit Viper money. It's not just for looks either — your follow-up shots are way faster, and it just feels more planted in your hands.
Yeah, it’s a little louder than a flash hider (all comps are), but it’s honestly pretty chill compared to some of the obnoxious comps out there. If you want to turn your Prodigy into a legit head-turner and a laser beam at the range, the Basilisk is a no-brainer.
I have the Basilisk mounted to a factory compensated Prodigy. Shooting factory Blazer 124 gr ammo the gun ran fine. No spring tuning necessary. I shot my fastest Texas Star at 2.44 sec. The dot never left the sight window. Very good quality. Hope Under World makes one for the new 3.5" Prodigy.
Love the look and the shooting results of the new addition to my Prodigy. Can't wait for them to come out with one for Tisas DS9 5" Duty model.
I absolutely love it only down side is trying to find a holster with a light attached
