The Underworld Arms side charging handle is the final evolution of a design we have been making since 2013. Our charging handle is machined from billet 7075 T6 and is a drop in replacement for your AR-10. A side charging handle allows for more efficient and ergonomic operation and does not require breaking the cheek weild to use. Please note this side charging handle will not fit in an AR-15 platform, please check our other listings for our AR-15 style side charging handle. This product has a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defect or failure from normal operation. The warranty does not cover end user induced cosmetic damage such as dings or scratches.

I’ve had side charging handles on most of my AR platforms. One thing I’ve noticed, that gave me problems with side charging handles was the type of scope I used. I prefer the Trijicon Acog scopes. These scopes have large knobs that are a part of mounting the scope. My knuckles would hit these knobs every time I chambered a new round. The only other issue I experienced was due to the amount of tensions in the buffer spring. The more tension in the buffer spring would cause the buttstock to kick out away from my shoulder. That is more ore a weapon system issue than charging handles issue. The only thing I would change would be the charging handle, pullback knob. I would make it twice as long as it is now.
This works very well. I have scope mounted and I experienced no clearance issues. It's actually easier to use than a normal one.

Love these charging handles. I have them on all of my AR platform rifles. Be advised that depending on your Optics and mounting that you may need a risers for the handle to clear.
