MAC 9 DS 4.25 Gen 3 Cerberus Compensator Thumb Rest Mk2

This frame compensator is compatible with the current production (Gen 3) MAC DS 4.25 and MAC DS Comp 4.25. The Gen 3 MAC pistols have windows cut in the slide serrations and they have a full length frame rail, Gen 1 and 2 have a short frame rail and no windows in the slide. 

The Underworld Arms Cerberus Compensator for the Military Armament Corp MAC 9 DS 1911, is a compact triple port frame mounted compensator with superb efficiency and performance.  The Cerberus uses concave gas diverters at the front wall of the expansion chamber to route gas into the two upward angled side ports and the top port. By using this concave diverter the gas retains more of its energy as it is redirected and more gas is trapped and redirected into the ports. The side ports are angled up at 68 degrees which creates a 44 degree arc of gas venting. 

This 50 state legal compensator is made for unthreaded barrels and is anodized black. This compensator has an ambi thumb ledge lower with horizontal serrations that match the horizontal serrations on the slide release and thumb safety, which creates a cohesive aesthetic.

We designed our thumb ledge lower around the X300, other brands of lights have longer mounts and will sit farther forward. 

Adding a compensator to a pistol reduces muzzle flip and recoil energy, as a result recoil spring tuning may be required and we offer a spring set for this purpose.

This compensator increases the dimensions of the firearm so it requires a dedicated holster like the ones we make, or a universal holster such as the MSP Tier 1, and the blackhawk omnivore light bearing.
