The Underworld Arms Basilisk Compensator fits both the Prodigy 4.25 and Prodigy 4.25 Comp. It is a frame mounted compensator with two large expansion chambers that redirect the gas flow into two large top ports and four angled side ports which dramatically reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil.

This 50 state legal compensator is made for unthreaded barrels. The Basilisk is available anodized black or cerakote coyote brown. This compensator has an ambi thumb ledge lower with horizontal serrations that match the horizontal serrations on the slide release and thumb safety which creates a cohesive aesthetic.

We designed our thumb ledge lower around the X300, other brands of lights have longer mounts and will sit farther forward.

On some builds recoil spring tuning may be required. The stock recoil spring is 12lbs, with this compensator a spring in the 9-11lbs range may be necessary for reliable cycling.

This compensator increases the dimensions of the firearm so it requires a dedicated holster such as the ones we make, or Tac-Rig (these have the most features and highest quality construction), or a universal holster such as the MSP Tier 1, and the blackhawk omnivore light bearing.

Simple to install

Simple to install, immediately noticed a difference in felt recoil and muzzle rise. Will definitely purchase one of the other rail systems for my other handgun.

Sometimes simple designs are the best. Just add the insert to your glock rail, slide on the comp, loctite or vibratite 2 screws and you are good to go. Perfect fitment. Unless you are a gun snob who cleans your guns way too often, this won't bother you. Pricing is excellent and the holster specifically designed for the thumb rest and X300 is affordable and quality. Whoever designed this is a genius and you can tell they enjoy these guns. The price alone tells me they actually care about their customers. Not everyone can afford almost $500 on a radian ramjet/afterburner. I have one and this is just as good, if not better. Took it straight to the range. Way less recoil, and the thumb rest adds another point of contact to my grip. Follow-up shots were excellent. I haven't worked with the holster for competition just yet, but I see no issues with it so far. Design is excellent. Literally reminds me of an underworld movie with Kate Beckinsale, especially the basilisk version. I like it so much, I purchased one for G19.6 and G45.6. Can't wait for a G17.6. Hoping they see this and can send me one with a holster to test with.
