The Underworld Arms Basilisk Compensator for the Springfield Prodigy 5" is a frame mounted compensator with two large expansion chambers that redirect the gas flow into two large top ports and four angled side ports which dramatically reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil.
This 50 state legal compensator is made for unthreaded barrels. This compensator has a multi slot lower rail, for a single slot lower rail please see our other listing.
On some builds recoil spring tuning may be required. The stock recoil spring is 10lbs, with this compensator a spring in the 8-9lbs range may be necessary for proper function unless high power loads are being used.

This compensator increases the dimensions of the firearm so it requires a dedicated holster such as the ones we make, or Tac-Rig (these have the most features and highest quality construction), or a universal holster such as the MSP Tier 1, and the blackhawk omnivore light bearing.

I was skeptical of buying the compensator as I have comped guns and they are good, but not great. I have added egw parts and love the way my prodigy shoots. I finally decided to get this and it has made my prodigy another level. It shoots smooth and flat and is incredible. I wish i didn't wait longer to buy this!!!!
If you are on the fence, go for it. The only negative is that I will definitely need another comped 2011. I got one for my tisas b9r ds and it isn't as nice as this one, although that is the 4.25 version.

Put this on my five inch Prodigy, not only does it function but it looks cool, my groups also improved, this is a great product, install was a breeze, only con is I hade to buy a different soft case to put it in but such is life worth every penny.
I wont lie, initially bought it because i thought it made the Prodigy look amazing. but its incredibly lightweight and actually functions as intended. Not that the Prodigy has a ton of kickback in the first place but second shots are on point now. Bonus, you have one of the coolest looking guns on the range. The mounting is a little difficult and the fitment is extra tight. Kinda made the tool-less pin an obsolete upgrade cause you are going to be there a minute taking this apart to clean but I have no complaints at all. Best money spent in a while.
