This recoil spring kit includes five springs in 1lbs increments from 7lbs-11lbs for tuning your guns performance to the specific ammunition and parts you are using. They are manufactured from 17-7 stainless steel and are designed to fit 1911 and 2011 4.25"-4.4"
These springs are manufactured by AQS the factory that makes springs for Noveske, Apex, Sig, CMMG, POF-USA. We lucked out and our shop just happened to be ten minutes from their factory.
The springs are spray painted in a color code to identify their weight, we put green and red at the opposite end of the weights so color blind individuals can tell them apart by testing tension in their hand.
7lbs - Green
8lbs - Blue
9lbs - White
10lbs - Yellow
11lbs - Red

Great with mk2 cerberus compensator, currently running the 11lb but will try different loads and weights till I find what's smoothest. But kit gives you plenty of options other than the feels like 16lb that comes with the b9r

Several months ago, I purchased the Cyclops compensator for my 4.25" Springfield Prodigy, which I carry on duty. The compensator alone made an immediate and noticeable difference, significantly improving my ability to get back on target quickly. After the upgrade, I passed the TCOLE shooting qualification with a score of 248 out of 250, nearly perfect. (The only round outside the A-zone was with my non-dominant hand.)
Later, I decided to test the spring kit and ultimately settled on the 10lb recoil spring. That change virtually eliminated felt recoil, allowing me to maintain full focus on both the target and the red dot throughout each string of fire.
Slide manipulation has also become noticeably easier, and the ejection pattern and reliability remain flawless. I tested the setup with a variety of ammunition including standard ball range ammo, Federal HST, SIG V-Crown, and Underwood Xtreme Defenders. All cycled without a single malfunction.
Combining the Cyclops compensator with the 10lb spring kit has been, without a doubt, the best performance upgrade I've made to my Prodigy.
