The Underworld Arms Thread-On Minotaur Compensator for the Staccato P, C2, and XL is a mid sized quad port compensator with superb efficiency and performance.
The Minotaur uses concave gas diverters at the front walls of the expansion chambers to route gas into the two upward angled side ports and two top ports. By using these concave diverters the gas retains more of its energy as it is redirected and a larger volume of gas is diverted off the centerline and redirected out of the ports. The side ports are angled up at 68 degrees which creates a 44 degree arc of gas venting.
The result of these design elements is an increase in recoil reduction and muzzle flip reduction for an even softer shooting experience than a traditional dual top port compensator.
This compensator is designed for THREADED barrels and features a dual lock system.
This compensator will require a lower weight recoil spring and we sell a kit for this purpose.
Included for installation are three widths of high temp o rings and a bottle of rocksett high temp thread locker. This is the primary locking mechanism and the one we used for our testing. For installation select a thickness of o-ring that requires a wrench to fully tighten. The o-ring provides the load up pressure for the rocksett to cure. For added durability in extreme use cases we also include set screws which tighten against the unthreaded portion of the barrel, if you opt to use the set screws they will leave two small divots on the under side of the barrels finish.
Everything you will need for the install is included: o-rings, clear rocksettthread locker, screws, and an allen key.
